Mimi & the HearnDogs

A gumbo of soulful vocals, spiced with acoustic guitar and harmonica; held together in the roux of a tasty upright bass. Mimi’s voice and acoustic guitar have always resonated with an affinity for the blues, but with this group, a wondrous mix of style and sound has found a home – decorated with jazz, rhythm & blues and a dose of fun!

Mimi Hearn has played on stages from coast-to-coast and has performed on a few choice islands also! Among others, she has joined Del Suggs, Pierce Pettis, Pam Laws, Drew Reid, Mimi & Merelyn, Moondance and she now sings with The Thursday Night Music Club.

For well over a decade, Mike Palecki (the "original HearnDog") has joined Mimi on a

musical adventure. With his awesome harmonica style, he has played with Diamond

Teeth Mary, Lucky Peterson, Sarasota Slim and Valerie Caracappa, to name a few. In

addition, Mike has toured with Randall "Big Daddy" Webster, spreading the blues

through Ireland.

When Mike Snelling joined in on upright bass, the sound was instantaneously elevated to a new level. Snelling has played with everyone, it seems – Aaron O’Rourke Trio, The Nods, Blue & Lonesome, Nancy Moore, Panhandle String Band, Singing Biscuit - the list goes on! Not surprising, since the sound he contributes when he plays is solid and the feel is moving!

It Just Works! Join the Pack!

SARAH MAC BAND

The Sarah Mac Band established their musical collective out of long existing friendships - friendships which are amazingly unique and span generations. The trio started in early 2005 with the goal to create original music blending the unique styles that Sarah Mac, Claire and Charlie each brought to the group. What emerged was an engaging combination of blues, jazz, folk and acoustic rock that has been classified as both Americana and Alternative.

Sarah Mac's voice at times has the full power and grit of Janis Joplin, the sweet, soothing breathy tone of Feist or Edie Brickell, and at times the soul-shaking raw tones of an old soul or gospel singer. Paired with Charlie's intricate guitar work and Claire's solid, intriguing bass lines, this trio will leave you wanting to hear more.

The band, based out of Tallahassee, FL, has spent the last few years playing well over 200 shows throughout the South and crafting a live show that brings a raw energy that must be experienced to be fully appreciated. These shows have been well received by both fans and critics alike. The band just wrapped up a project featuring a series of single releases throughout 2009-2010. The project, 'A Single Revolution,' is also the title to their upcoming full length release, scheduled to release October 30, 2010. 'Revolution' will feature the 8 singles (previously released in limited edition) plus 4 new tracks. The band was named the "Next Big Thing in Florida" by Southern Living Magazine and will be featured in an upcoming 2010 issue.

The Sarah Mac Band has shared the stage with the likes of Shawn Colvin, Robert Randolph, Marc Roberge (of O.A.R.), and the Lee Boys.

What people are saying about the Sarah Mac Band....

"Eclectic and ultra-catchy" - Paste Magazine

"A true Florida treasure.." - Tampa News Weekly

"A welcome sight, as their laid-back, feel-good jam-pop--think Grace Potter and the Nocturnals or Melissa Etheridge on vacation--has earned them spots opening for the likes of Shawn Colvin, Robert Randolph, and the Lee Boys, among others." -

Tampa Bay Times Soundcheck

"Sarah Mac is the perfect mix between the softness of Sarah McLachlan and the passion and jazz of Sara Bareilles. There must be some magic that gives girls named Sarah those blindingly sensuous voices." Capital Culture Magazine.
